Here’s the Army’s gift to Walid Eido’s family:

صدر عن قيادة الجيش ـ مديرية التوجيه البيان التالي:

في الوقت الذي لا تزال فيه يد الإرهاب تعبث بأمن الوطن واستقراره بطرق وأساليب شتى، حيث غدرت أمس بأحد ممثلي الشعب اللبناني النائب وليد عيدو ونجله خالد وعدد من مرافقيه ومن المواطنين الأبرياء، تواصل وحدات الجيش في نهر البارد توسيع نطاق سيطرتها، وتضييق الخناق بشدة على ما تبقى من العصابة الإرهابية المجرمة، وتنتزع مواقعهم وتنظفها من الأفخاخ والألغام، وقد تمكنت من ضبط مخزن كبير للمتفجرات، مما يدل على أهداف هذه العصابة الإرهابية ومآربها الهدّامة.
إن قيادة الجيش تتوجه بالتعازي الحارة إلى عائلة النائب الشهيد وليد عيدو وعائلات رفاقه والمواطنين الأبرياء، والشعب اللبناني عموماً، وتؤكد العزم والإصرار على مكافحة الإرهاب ، واستئصاله من جذوره أنّى وجد، معاهدة اللبنانيين بذل أقصى التضحيات وتقديم الدماء من دون حساب صوناً لوحدة الوطن وسيادته وكرامة أبنائه.

To those who don’t speak Arabic, this is an official statement from the Army which simultaneously announces busting a large warehouse filled with explosives in the nahr el bared camp and sends the Army’s condolences to the family of “one of the representatives of the Lebanese people MP walid Eido”.
