I thought that the presidential election is in November!

I think the government (March 14) wants to have an election so it is taking a risk by forming a bigger (including opponents) government.

thanks for the link to abu kais, that was a great read.
i guess i have the same concerns as geagea…if the national unity government proposal goes through it would mean that march 14th would have made huge concessions as a reward Hezbollah’s stubbornness. A bad precedent.

But the annahar and alsharkal awsat stories are about more general stuff than the mer’i brothers’ link with Assef Shawkat, and al’raim al am was the only source for that particular story. Am I correct?

I am tremendously skeptical with al-Ra’i al-’Aam after it featured an “exclusive” story last year that turned out to be completely false and misleading. I can’t put my finger on which story right now..

Moustapha, just to be clear, I didn’t quote al-Ra’i al-’Aam exclusively. I also quoted an-Nahar and Asharq al-Awsat to put together the story. Second, al-Ra’i al-’Aam was quoting Lebanese security sources, as was an-Nahar, Asharq al-Awsat, and indeed, LBC.
