thank you Mustapha for gathering the pics of those died senslessly but for a cause. Looking at the pics is very emotional. Their stories, their future plans, are all too much to know at once. Can we just tell Israel, US, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabis and all others, including all Lebanese, to learn something from deaths of these soldiers and stop this madness. I really can’t form my thoughts right now. God bless their souls and bring comfort to their friends and families.
god bless them and their families, and may they rest in peace with the knowledge that they died for a greater cause
ditto.. like the commentors above. but at the same time it frightens me to think that there were many others before them, who have fallen for Lebanon, who have been pushed by the wayside, and whose memory has been desecrated by the resumption of “business as usual.” I pray and hope that I’m wrong!
With deep gratitude and sincere condolences to their families.
Like Lou said, many others also fell before these heroes. They should all be remembered and business as usual should not be an option.
[The gvmnt said that one reason they did not go after Fateh el Islam before, i.e. after Ain Alak, is that the opposition would have pooed pooed the evidence.
In other words, they waited until the first 17 army guys were slaughtered before they decided that their political asses were covered and that they should move. That is not leadership and I fear they are failing in Ein el Helweh again]
May God bless them!
I write this and I am fighting back my tears, with a lump in my throat thinking of my countrymen heros who died defending Lebanon. I feel for their families, God only knows the fury inside my heart and mind against those who harm my fellow Lebanese. “…And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger for those who chose to posion and destroy my brothers…” no need to finish, but the Syrian regime will pay, Inshallah
What a great tribute, Mustapha. thanks!
sorry josey, my spam filter is so powerful it inflicts friendly fire sometimes.
My bad.
No problem Steve, thanks.
yes, may god truly bless them. great tribute for your soldiers, mustapha. they are heroes but they would probably say they were just doing their job. maybe their title should just be “heroes” and not “soldiers”. this is what it is like for the US and its allies in iraq and afghanistan.

Shu mustapha.. where did the rating option at the end of articles go??
Afif,
They’re consuming more resources (loading speed, ram & overall performance) than they’re benefiting.. Besides, it didn’t really fly; to get more comments than ratings is a death sentence
????
thank you very much for this virtual memorial…
god bless their souls and help their families and the loved ones they left behind.
truly sharaf, tad7iya wafa2.
These are our warriors….They stand, fight and die so we don’t have to.

All have eventually fallen, what makes you discussing, murderous, raping, thieving weak fuck’s think you will last much longer.
Long live Lebanon and warriors that defend it.

You’re grossly overestimating Syria, Jalal, by including it in your inventory of “fallen” empires (although I don’t exactly agree with the insinuation that the US is an empire, nor that it is a fallen–or falling–one for that matter.) But anyway, that’s a different discussion.
Syria is at best a parvenu thugogracy and a racket of bullies and beasty vandals; to include it on a roll figuring giants of history (who have actually made contributions to the advancement of mankind) is misplaced flattery to say the least!
Louis, you are correct the US should not be on that list……yet.
You are also absolutely correct in saying that..
“Syria is at best a parvenu theocracy and a racket of bullies and beastie vandals; to include it on a roll figuring giants of history (who have actually made contributions to the advancement of mankind) is misplaced flattery to say the least!”
It was poor judgment on my behalf to place Syria anywhere near the above great nations of past and present.
I just want people to realise that just as these giants have fallen (excluding the US of coarse) and their swords broken, so will the miniscule pin prick in the side of the Lebanese be removed…..soon I hope, “God willing”.
