I read both parallel & the sentences are identical, but the choice of words makes one (the German) sound like the poor Palis are getting exterminated by Lebanese who aren't even "real" Lebanese ('cause they all speak fluent English) etc.pp. whereas the English version is more of a serious report. no, I actually think it has to do with translation.
