Video: Walid Jumblat Castigating Aljazeera

Miscalleneous

The PSP leader, like the rest of the Lebanese, is not happy at all with Aljazeera. He accuses it of being complicit in the crimes happening in Lebanon. He also addresses directly the ruler of Qatar and asks him not to take sides (here’s why the Lebanese are fuming from Aljazeera’s coverage), also Jumblat’s interview with Al-Sharq Al Awsat on the same subject, picked up by Alarabiya

I’m not particularly sure about the link that Jumblat is placing between Al-Jazeera and the Qatari Emir.. From what I know of Jazeera they are not particularly influenced by the Emir’s foreign policy positions.

But considering Jumblat’s position, he is more privy to Qatar’s emir’s opinion about the current events in Lebanon. So he made the link when he went live with Jazeera

Does Joumblatt know something? What is this Qatar gvmnt business?

I just saw on Naharhet that Qatar is going to try to mediate between M14 and M8. (???)

man,i dunno how possible that can be,even if you have the worlds best negotiater, their projected destinies are in complete contradiction despite both being both pro-lebanon.M8 have made it clear a 1001 times, bring back Syria while M14s response”over all of our dead bodies.”Send the Qatari back unless he wants to invest in the army.

could it be that jumblatt linked the two because qatar supports islamast ideology. they are staunch supporters of hez. last years war and al jazeera’s coverage showed that. or could it be just that it is qatari owned? hmmm….jumblatt may be many things, but he is not stupid, so perhaps he knows something that we all don’t. only time will tell.
    thanks for the video mustafa…..

Oh my God, dozens slaughtered in the streets of Tripoli and Beirut Spring’s big problem is the TV coverage offered by Al Jazeera…

People are getting slaughtered about three miles from where you live…

If you really feel SO strongly about all this…

Turn the goddamn TV off, leave your bride behind, enlist in the Lebanese Army, and as a private soldier, persuade the high command that their plan-pounding the Palestinians-doesn’t play well on television…

    I’m joking, Beirut Spring…

There is no way in hell I would expect the likes of you to actually enlist in the Lebanese Army, which is composed of whom?

    Who joins the Lebanese army?

    Who fights for Lebanon?

    Anybody you know?

Qatar is the most pro-syrian arab country…in essence its pro-syrian tendancies are a direct result of two things in my opinion. First its special relationship with Israel. Officially Israel condemns the baath regime in syria…unoficially their best friends with aligned goals and interests…remember the baath regime not syria has common interests with Israel…The second reason why Qatar is the baath regime’s best friend in the gulf is because the emir hates the Saudis for some reason…theyre always in a war of words with each other…coincidentally Saudi Arabia is March 14’s number 1 supporter in the Arab world…with respect to al jazeera…they are a tool of the government of Qatar for one and a collection of palestinians and ancient pan-arab advocators of baathist stone age regimes…you may ask why Qatar who has a special relationship with Israel would support pan-arabists and palestians…and the answer is simple…because Israel knows that those ideologies are sickness of the arab world…the baathist way is the way to destruction…and if uve ever seen al jazeera ull already know that theyre intent on instigating conflict and hatred between the arabs…theyre guests are always fighting about useless issues…al jazeera is the demise of arab media

I agree 100% with your analysis and opinion of Quatar/Baath/Israel. Lots of people don’t really know or are blind to see that the Baath regime in Syria has destroyed the Palestinian cause and Lebanon over the past 35 years…Too much history to mention and go through, and lots of denial out there. In the mean time, the Syrian people and the Lebanese need to get together to overthrow this murdurous regime to build 2 new democracies that promotes the interests of their people. Enough is enough!

Qatari Citizen, keep your AMERICAN DOLLARS in qatar if you think buying lebanese with your money. Sometimes a word of friendship and true understanding of someones misery is worth all the treasures in the world. If your jazeera TV think it can say whatever it wants just because qatar is sending cash to Lebanon you are wrong. What Jumblatt is saying is true, you want to be real journalists cover the FACTS!!! ALL the FACTS!!!

Qatari citizen…why are you changing the discussion? We are talking about apples and you mention oranges! We are talking about how aljazeera is a pro-baathist and biased television network that foments hatred and animosity between the arabs and in so doing it is doing the bidding of two regimes in the middle east that are intent of destroying us…baathist syria and israel…under the direct control of qatar which is both pro-syrian and has a special relationship with israel…dont change the subject when u cant present an argument on another subject…and as Ralf said…keep your cash and keep out of our affairs…if you love the baathist regime so much why dont you spend your summers there!!!!

Walid Jumblat has nothing to blame but syria. Has no words to defend himself but syria. why doesnt he concentrate on what really happening in lebanon, maybe you will find the truth behind all this. Or could all this be happening because of him, I wander if hes the one and turns it on syria. i think he is a clown
