  1. i was thinking the same. could not explain, could not interpret, don’t know what to make of it. if Lebanon was a larger country, not faced with whatever danger it is faced with, this would have gone unnoticed. but things being what they are this seems a bit weird, i must say.

  2. I feel there are Non-Lebanese influences in Lebanon that want to stir up trouble among Lebanese. I think, as a nation we should be on the look out for such incidences.

Since 2004, and throughout these years, we always blamed ‘Syria’, or ‘Israel’. No Lebanese would prefer Iran, Israel, the US, or Syria, Over his compatriot Lebanese, which will stay side by side with him for centuries to come (people as a nation). While the Israeli, Syrian, American, Iranians, will Go Back to their compounds, and national interests.

For the sake of the benefit of the doubt,
Lets “not switch the Blame” from Either Syria and/or Israel, to a Lebanese sectarian divide.

  3. I feel that they should have at least postponed the Miss Lebanon thing. The assassination of Ghandour and Kabalan was far too momentous an occasion, on par with the Hariri assassination.

Except this time, the murderers are far closer to home.

May God forgive us all for what we’re about to start.

  4. well maybe there are some lebanese who are numbed by all the politics, and chose to view light hearted shows and events as opposed to all the political talkshows dominating the airwaves. There are those TV ads on LBC about the cunning of some political leaders and their intentions, while straight after you get a glimpse of the Lebanon to a Wadih Safi soundtrack. These are the two dominant feelings prevaling in the country, you cant have one without the other.

  5. This is the weirdest country I’ve ever seen……no values….no respect…..people have lost all sense of civilisation…..2 young students were killed and at the same time you see something totally irrelevant such like Miss Lebanon…..Who cares the country is about to be dismantled and the situation almost on the edge and still you see careless people……Left this country 19 years ago and I don’t regret any second I’ve lived away…..
