The Beirut Spring Has Moved

The Beirut Spring now has a new infrastructure.

The new design is similar to the old as I tried to make the transition as smooth as possible, but in many ways, it’s much better: It’s now wider, cleaner and has three columns for even more links and goodies.

There are now new sections on the top for a better organization (home, about ..etc). This will also make it easier to get more information for people who come here by accident.

Since I did the coding myself, please understand that it’s not technically perfect yet (especially with the Archives). With time, many adjustments will take place and hopefully it should be very robust pretty soon.

Also, since many of you shy away from commenting, I installed a star rating system for every post to better know if you like it or not. Please use it, it’s fun, it doesn’t take much time and it’s completely anonymous. (I heard it’s not working well with everyone, I’m on it)

Thanks for reading my blog and don’t forget to contact me if you have anything in mind at the same email address: mustapha at beirutspring dot com.

  1. Mustapha,

This is no great news, I guess, but here is a clip of Naim Qassem (Deputy Secretary-General of Hezballah) admitting that they receive their orders to strike or stop from Tehran:

  2. How do you like WP? I’m moving Thermo Police to a WP format as well. Did you modify a known theme or start from scratch?

  3. Thank you all for the support!

    As for your questions F&F,

It did take some getting used to (and lots and lots of CSS reading and learning and cursing), and I did build on an existing template (this one), but on the balance of things, I get more space, more control and more professionalism without losing my readership. Sounds good don’t you think?

  4. Congratulations ya Moustapha. I have no doubt that this will be even better than the previous one!
