saus:

I haven't read ur blog and I don't plan to, but what u have written here make perfect sense. I assure u most of us ex-patriots and locals have had enough of the BS that keeps on repeating amongst ourselves.

Any chance of bypassing politicians and organizing boarder meet-ups anytime soon?

I personally would prefer to set up a meet-up with ontheface if she is not too busy :)

Howdy, Thanks for the link in the interest of discussion.

What amazes me is how subtle Lebanese keep trying to be (ex-patriots included) in the face of the serious issues facing Lebanon.

IMHO the region will finally get the growth, stability, life, and security it needs once the extremists are defeated. This is due to Lebanon after so many years of strife by outsiders.

Stop being so subtle please, Lebanon's freedom requires decisive action, Israel is not Lebanon's enemy despite the convenient use of such as a scapegoat for internal Arab World failures by dictators who rob their people. The UN has accepted this, so have the US, France, the EU and many others. It's time Lebanon do the same.

No one wants to hear it, but deep down the ex-patriots know it is the truth. At some point in every little brother's life there comes a point when he must tell his big brothers to stop walking all over him, so you have.. Now back it up or forever be a welcome mat for Syria & Iran.

Unlike Lebanon profile's opinion, on the contrary I'm quite informed, where I live there is no conflict between Lebanese & Israelis or Jews, there are endless amounts of Lebanese who openly discuss reality. Away from canards and lies and living finally in freedom will do that to you.

Some choose to read my opinion as anti Lebanon. Others immediately see I am Pro Lebanon, just not the Lebanon Iran & Syria have been force feeding (Hezbollah). This mirrors nicely the dispute, which is in reality internal Lebanese, between those that want a free Lebanon, and those that quite simply don't.

Thank you for the clarification oneface. My blog is reactionary, you are correct, imho one cannot combat reactionary elements with roses & chocolate unfortunately.

Sorry about the length, pls feel free to counter and shred if there is desire there won't be any arguing from myself. I didn't comment to do the back forth, just wanted to clarify my opinion for your readers.

regards
saus

Hey Mustapha -

Interesting link, 'though the blog's a bit reactionary for my tastes. Just one wee correction: the blogger is Canadian (Jewish), not Israeli.

I found nothing worthwhile in it. He doesn't have much information, thus comes to erroneous conclusions.
