Dominique De Lahhoud

Uncategorized

The same thing that makes our President so despicable is what makes the French Prime Minister so admirable.

More than half of the population wants the leader to change his mind, yet he remains doggedly stubborn and is not budging an inch. The opposition is threatening to use the street in a gargantuan demonstration that would force the leader to acquiesce, but he is showing no signs of giving in.

The above statement applies both to President Emile Lahhoud of Lebanon, an unpopular President who is obstinately refusing to resign, and to the French Prime Minister, Dominique De Villepin, who is refusing to withdraw an unpopular labor bill that would make it easier to hire and fire young people under the age of 26, the CPE.

The Dilemma to me is the following: I want Dominique de Villepin to ignore all those protests because I sincerely believe he’s doing the right thing, whereas I want our President to resign because, well, he sucks. I’m sure there’s a difference between acting in principle and being obstinate, don’t you think?

  1. Villepin will cave, and Lahoud won’t. That is my sad prediction

  2. « I want our President to resign because, well, he sucks… »

….maybe, but less than the fatso salafist profiteer and his medschool dropout fascist friend!

The (moribund “bi izni’l’llah” as they say in Koreytem) March 14 movement is just a cynical alliance of circumstance, bringing together the “Ibn Shaheed bila Hikmah” and the “Hakeem bila Shahâdah”!

    ;))

  3. More than half the population.
    I don’t think so !
I believe that more than half the population refuse to allow the Presidency to descend to the role of Harriri partisan.

well, geagea did committ some of the war’s most vicious murders.. but to tell that Saad Al Hariri is a salafist and a profiteer> Well… tell me about Lahhoud and his son…didnt they make money too out of Iraqi oil?????? Go home and revise your files before speaking nonsense… Al Hariri a salafist? Do you know what a salafist means? Do you know what a Muslim means in the first place?

For a man like you to speak such nonsense is truly a shame…….

  7. They’re both corrupt unscrupulous figures but at least Chirac was legitimately elected and not forcibly put in place by a foreign power/mafia……

Lahoud probably won’t retire has as much to do with fear from Syria as his own greed and stubborness.

Chirac’s law was legit. Could you imagine busting your ass starting a small business and risking any money you’ve saved and some spoiled college kid gets hired and he is dragging you and the rest of your good faithful hard working employees down… and you can’t fire him…. RESULT…
You don’t start a small business
You don’t hire anyone young if you do
You are very hesitant to hire anyone
If you do start a business you are very reticent to take any further risks to grow, expand and potentially hire more people….

    END RESULT….
A Stagnant Spoiled Socialist Lazy state and Unemployment Rates that you see today in France.

    Mike

PS DeVillipen and Chirac after watering down the bill pulled it altogether… lol! Viva La France!!
