This is what hope looks like:
May’s Appearance on TV was a necessary boost to a lot of people who are starting to lose morale, to people who are starting to lose confidence in the future of Lebanon.
Watching her talk with her trademark smile, telling us that she’ll be back soon is a very powerful symbol.
May was saying: You can take my arm, you can take my foot, but you can never take away my smile.
Thank you May for letting us know what true resistance means.

The beirut spring is a blog that is interested in Lebanese society and its politics. It started in February 2005 after the assassination of Prime Minister Rafik Hariri

It was a boost just reading about it in the news. Watching it would have been that much better. Welcome back May.

Qardâha is the Palermo of the Levant
Therefore, it follows logically that Bashar al-Asad is the Don Corleone of the Middle-East
Capicci you stupid Baathist- neo-Romantic-Pan-Arabist fools?
As for Duke, he is clearly the born-again DixieversionofHitlerofourtimes, no less!
I know if for a fact for I’ve read many articles on that sinister totalitarian fascist character in reliable media sources such as the Neocon gazette of Saudistan…
OK, I know he doesn’t wear the trademark totalitarian moustache of Saddam, Hitler or Stalin, but he might have shaved it at a certain stage in his career to hide his hideous anti-Haririst ideology!
As for May Shidiac, she’s the best Lebanese Forces fascist propagandist ever!
After a second thought, far-right media types can’t be all that bad like that Duke guy, specially when they work for a Saudi-owned TV station…
Anyway, long live liberty!
Long live the free banana pudding republic of Wahhâbi Lebanonistan!
And don’t forget that nothing freely frees you like freedom itself!
Listen May, we won’t forget what you’ve endured for freedom, freedom of choice, the choice of freedom, etc. … blah blah ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wonderful sophism. If Bashar is a Corleone, he ain’t Mickey, he’s Fredo.

Whether or not one agrees with May’s political views or ways, one must admit that she has a lot of guts to appear on TV after a short time.

Visited May in her hospital yesterday. It was verry hard to see her sleeping in her bed, tiered, with just one arm and one leg, though her smile was shining on her lipps, though her eyes showed sadness. When one of our friends began to cry,May told her to stop crying and to smile, that she’ll be back as tough as free as she used to be.
May is one of the lebanese saints,an angel that guards the whole positive philosophie of what modern lebanon should be.
Whatever political believes she holds, one can’t denie, the positiveness of her smile,of her ressurection.
Just look at her angelic face, and see the difference between it and the uglu evil faces of Hassan Nasrallah,Assem Kanso,Nabih Berri,Emile Lahoud,Walid 3eido and more of the corrupt evil crooks, that view Lebanon As a place they can multiply their wealth, and conducts others wars and plans on our beloved country.
God bless you May,keep your beautifull smile to show us all how to survive through the hard times and negativity.
