Assem Quanso wants your attention. Pleeaaase…

One of Aesop’s most famous fables is that of the Frog and the Ox.
A frog passes by a big ox one day, and notices that the ox completely ignores him.
The conceited frog decides to capture the attention of the uninterested ox, so he blows himself up and jumps in front of the ox’s eyes. The Ox still doesn’t notice him.
So the frog blows himself even more and jumps again in front of the ox. The ox remains totally unmoved.
The frog is now crazy with anger, so he blows himself so much that he explodes.
Everytime the Lebanese people ignores Assem Quanso (a Syrian puppet), he raises his rhetoric even more.
Just ignore him, he will self destruct.
Hello, my name is Mustapha and I blog in The Beirut Spring about Lebanese society and politics. I started in February 2005 after the killing of P.M. Rafik Hariri.

Isn’t the author of this fable Jean de La Fontaine ?
Mr. Mousse al-Trâbulsi,
I have no sympathy whatsoever for the Damascus-based Soviet wing of the Baath party and its (once influential but now largely decrepit) Lebanese stooges, BUT their local “Secretary General” Mr. ‘Asem Qanso is free to criticize the Saniura government ad lib if he wants to…
Actually, when you think of it, all freedom loving Lebanese citizen should criticize their Saudistani puppet government led by Saniura, a mid-level employee of faux sheikh Saad al-Hariri…himself a self-proclaimed “servant” [sic] of the Al-Saud family i.e. officially on the payroll of a royal purse that has financed the rapid spread of the Wahhâbi death cult from Kandahar to Algiers and ‘Akkar
For puppets, it all boils down to the size of the collaborationist chain of command: 2 for Qanso vs. 3 for Saniura
If forced to choose, I’ll settle for the shortest/weakest of two evil chains…
PS VP JdlF took it from Aesop…who had himself taken his inspiration from some ancient Indo-Iranian folk tales…one more collaborationist chain of command of the 3rd degree!
:-))
Cute Mustapha. But let’s forget that Frogs Qansou, Jibreel, Abdel-Aal, were extremely dangerous and still have that potential.
Also, if you cannot bring small fry like that to account, you can’t deal with the bigger dangers.
he’s started to annoy you too! :)
Let’s see what he does tomorrow! Who knows… maybe Tony will post an entry about him!!!
There is a difference between criticizing znd threatening! Qanso is threatening the stability of Lebanon and should be held accountable! But not now. One group at a time!
Vic,
“Mousse al Traboulsi” is a bit lame don’t you think?
how about: “Mustapha al Mamluki fi bilad al Timbuktu” ?
“How about: “Mustapha al Mamluki fi bilad al Timbuktu” ?
Not bad, not bad, young man as my late econometrics professor used to say
sold!
I only hope you are right. However, I assume you are not.
There is great potential for violence. Qanso has contacts within state security, and he’s being fed information by the Syrian intelligence members still here.
His statements cannot simply be taken as his own.
